I have run in a few 5k's and two 10k and one 15k.  My best time for a 5k is 25:02 minutes.

June: Heart of Holladay 25:02  PR Yeah!!!

June: Westfest 5k  Will be gone camping

July 4: Murray 5k

July 24: Deseret News 10k

July19: Bryce Canyon 1/2 Full

Long-Term Running Goals:

I hope to continue to stay active running and possibly improve my previous running times.

Personal:

I'm married with four children from 6 years old up to 13 years old. A couple of years ago I lost 60 lbs and started running to keep it off.  I now run 20 miles a week with a neighbor and enjoy the ability to exercise.

We went out in the snow and it was a nice run other than I got soaked.  My pants were so wet I sounded like a clidesdale horse.  I enjoyed the fresh snow and a chance to catch up on the social with my running partner however.

Kennedy run.  It was slippery and people need to shovel their walks but other than that it was good.  I didn't fall so that is always a high point.

We went out expecting cleared sidewalks and did more dodging snow  than running.  But we got it done.  Hopefully the sun will come out today and melt some sidewalks so tomorrow is not so  slippery.

Today we tried a new route that kept us for the most part off of the main roads and icy sidewalks.  It was veruy cold out today. Now I get to take a long HOT shower yum.

Today we ran down to the fitness center.   I felt the cold much more today than yesterday.  Of course Crash(my dog) who has faithfully always ran with me and Jody would not even run with us. I am just glad that I'm done for the week.  I love to do but I love to be done just as much.

Todays run was one of my best runs in a  long time.  I felt great the whole time and felt I could have kept going forever.  My dad Crash decided he will go running again with me.  After rebelling on Thursday of last week I thought he might be quiting for good.  Anyway hopefully this is a good start to a wonderful week. 

Now I get to clean the house.

Today was another good run.  A few slippery spots along the way but we did it. The first half was all up hill and got windy for about a mile.  Once to the top it was all down hill.   yeah!

Keeping up with Jody was impossible however.  She was on fire today.

Its runs like today that make me appreciate days when I have good runs.  I started out with a bad attitude and couldn't get with it.  But I did it.  Tomorrow will be much better.

We are going to jog around and see the lights tonight. That will be fun.

The first half of the run was really hard to get into.  But after we got over to 5600 then it got much easier.  The wind was bad if you were running south so we did as little as possible.

Break day tomorrow.  Sleep in. Back at it on Saturday.

Lots of snowand ice. The first half was hard to get into but after we turned around mentally it was much easier even though walks were not shoveled and we did as much hiking and ice skating as we did running.  We didn't break any speed records but I am glad we got out and got it  done.

The first 3 miles were COLD After that when I could start feeling my hands and feet again it was pretty good. Its good to be back at it.

Today's run was much better than yesterday's I remembered my warmer running gear.  I could never get my energy boost however. So Jody lead and I followed as close as possible.

Today was the hardest run I have had in a long time.  I couldn't catch my breath and just felt overall yucky.  Anyway I made it 6 miles before I bailed on Jody.  I gave blood yesterday and I am hoping that is all that messes with me today.  Monday will be much better.

Good way to end the year. Today's run I felt much better.  I couldn't quite get up to Jody's speed but I enjoyed the run.Hopefully a good start to a great week.
