Personal:

I went out with a neighbor and got 4 miles and then added on a couple more to get my six. I have been up in the mountains all weekend and exercise didn't happen so I was glad to get back into it.

This morning I went out with Laurie and my neighbor. The weather was beautiful this morning and I actually slept really well and was ready to go this morning. other than I hit the snooze and almost slept to late. Today I am going up mill creek canyon with the young women to do a hike and then hopefully I am all ready for the 10k tomorrow.

The race this morning was great it wasn't too hot and it started early enough that it didn't warm up along the way. I felt really good throughout the race other than I had a bad headache. we met and visited with some of the other blog people. We decided to take off before the awards which turned out good because I came home and went back to sleep for a couple hours. My head ache is now gone and I am so happy about my time. It is a PR. I shaved about 3 minutes off of my previous time for a 10k. When my chip time comes in hopefully it will be below 51 minutes. Who knows we will see.

Congratulations to all the runners today!!

Me and Jody went out and did a slow pace today to recover from yesterdays 10k and in prep for tomorrow's miles. My legs have been sore all day today and I hope that they feel much better by the morning.

Have a great weekend!

We went and met Kim this morning and headed over to the Jordan River Parkway for a 16 mile run. It was 2 and a half miles to it and then we learned that the parkway is not a easy trail to navigate. You would think that the trail was cut and dry but no sometimes you had to cut through a parkinglot and other times you needed to go one direction to stay on the path and the other direction to the parking area. None the less we found our way and kept at a 9+ minute mile. At mile 6 I knew I needed to slow down or I would never survive the entire run so I dropped back and just went slow and steady.  We turned around at mile 8 and headed back. We saw Brent and he ran with us for a mile or so. Then a little further we met Leslie and Lisa.  It was fun to meet all the people from the blog. After we left them I lost steem fast. By mile 14 I was so tired and tempted to call my husband to come and pick me up. But I persevered and got back to Kim's brothers house at a very slow pace.

I now know what if feels like to be a rubber band because that is what my legs felt like. I am so glad that I did it though and Jody and Kim get 10,000 brownie points for dragging me along and waiting and waiting  and waiting for me. I definitely need to build up my miles a little slower though. I will be sore from this I'm sure.I am so greatful that tomorrow is Sunday and NO RUN DAY!!!!

Have a great weekend!!!!!!!
